Art In Residence is a non-profit 501-c3 organization, founded by Nathaniel Ancheta, David Edward Martin and Janice Ngan. Our mission at Art In Residence is to explore the potential of public art in Antelope Valley, CA by engaging with the community through active practice, outreach, and education.
Supporting and bringing opportunities for artists in Antelope Valley, CA is at the heart of our mission.
Exhibitions are free to the public, A.I.R. is located in Antelope Acres, CA at the foot of of the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve.
We were founded in 2019 when artists Dave Martin and Nathaniel Ancheta wanted to create an outdoor exhibition space for public art in the Antelope Valley, and expand from there to create opportunities for local artists. Janice Ngan joined the founding team, and from there we’ve been holding an annual open air exhibition in addition to our regular Open Forum sessions and community engagement projects.
